South Down farmhouse is a comfortable 17th century Bed and Breakfast house with two self catering holiday cottages set within an old rural farm courtyard.
We are in the beautiful countryside of North Devon and placed at Yarnscombe which lies between Barnstaple (7 miles) Bideford (8 miles) and Great Torrington (3 miles) perfect for exploring this beautiful area, or as a stopover, if you are traveling through to Cornwall with the Eden project being just one and a half hours drive. With the beach of West wood Ho! Northam Burrows country park just 15 minutes drive. A Surfers and kite boarders paradise.
We will accept one well behaved pet. No dangerous breeds please.
We have many premier attractions within a 10 mile radius, including Survival paintball, North Devon Quads and Clay pigeon shooting at South Down adventure park, Dartington Crystal, Rosemoor Gardens, Torrington 1646 experience, Brannams Pottery, Tarka Trail for walking and cycling, golf, horse riding, North Devon Farm Park, Cobbaton Combat Collection, Atlantic Village, to name just a few.

We are in the rural countryside and the nearest shop is a 10 minute drive.
We have a reasonable level of British sign language for hearing-impaired holidaymakers and have a good mobile signal for most networks, so texting and phone calls are generally connected first time. We have broadband which can be used by appointment.
Our cottages are all on one level with a small step that may suit some customers with mobility problems. We can provide small ramp to get in to the cottages. Please telephone to discuss.
Parking is right outside the cottages so customers with mobility problems may find this helpful.
We do provide magnifiers if a client is visually impaired.
